Anxiety Creep

Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the cooler days, the changing leaves, and the shift in rhythm.
While summer is wonderful for pausing and slowing down, the back-to-school season and fall always feel like a reset button. I'm ready to buckle down again, though I admit it requires taking deep breaths, staying centered on what's important, and avoiding getting caught up in the urgent.
This week, we sent our youngest off to her senior year of high school. As we debriefed her day, I could hear her anxiousness about what was ahead as she shared about her classes. I reminded her how important it is to take one day at a time.
If you're feeling the anxiety creep as we turn the page on another month, I encourage you to pause for a few moments and:
- Celebrate your wins from the past few weeks, months, or year.
- Identify your top three priorities for the upcoming [Time Period, e.g., "month," "quarter"].
- Determine what will make your day a success and go after it!
While we often coach our clients on these very things, it doesn't mean we are immune to them. Be sure to check in with yourself; our work as coaches is never done.
Grateful for you and all you bring to our coaching community!
