Happy 2023!
I am so excited about the future of ICF Iowa! For the past five years, I have served in various roles with our ICF Iowa Chapter, and I am excited to be serving as President this year. I am honored to be serving alongside some amazing Coaches and professionals.
Our theme for 2023 is BUILDING MOMENTUM. What exciting time to be a part of this chapter as we continue to grow and make impact through this important work of Coaching! To capitalize on our theme this year, we will focus four key areas:
- Growing and Engaging our Membership
o Attract, recruit and support Coaches across the state of Iowa
o Promote diversity and inclusion
o Engage our members in leading, volunteering and presenting
- Building Coaching Capabilities
o Offer excellence in monthly programs
o Create networking opportunities
o Develop peer coaching experiences
- Promoting Coaching
o Raise awareness and value of Coaching in communities and across State of Iowa
o Plan and execute events for International Coaching week
- Serving our Communities
o Participate in Community service work
We are so fortunate to have talented Coaches leading this important work. Our 2023 Board of Directors are eager to work with our membership as we lay out concrete plans and events in these areas.
And, we need your help! Like everything, it is more fun and purposeful when involved. Please consider volunteering this year. Here are some areas we are looking for help:
- Networking Event Coordinators (Spring and Summer in both Eastern and Central Iowa)
- International Coaching Week Coordinator/team members (May)
- Special Topic Lead (July)
- Community Service Project Lead/team members (August)
- Holiday Party Coordinator (Eastern and Central Iowa; December)
- I am interested in volunteering as needed
