New Member Spotlight - Dané Johnson
Dané is an endlessly curious people-lover and growth-seeker. She is also an experienced facilitator, content creator, and development coach specializing in leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as in innovation and design thinking. She has worked with companies of all sizes in a variety of industries including hospitality, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, internet gaming, and software development.
Dané’s love for people (and fun) led her to begin her career in hotel sales and marketing and meeting and event planning. After several years in the hospitality world, her proclivity to challenge the status quo led her to work within the innovation sector of a non-profit health system.
Eventually, the growth-seeker in her enrolled in and completed an MBA program focused on leadership. It was then she realized she could have a larger impact on how individuals experience work (and life) by focusing on the world of organizational culture development, beginning with the self-development of a company’s leaders, which she’s been doing for ten years.
In 2019 Dané completed the Authentic Leadership Coach training program at the Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy in Raleigh, NC, and in 2022 she celebrated the receipt of her PCC from the ICF. She is currently enrolled in the Neuroscience of Change coach training program from Coaches Rising, as well as a coach supervision program from a premier MCC.
Dané and her partner, Matt, moved to Des Moines from Illinois in 2018 and have enjoyed making the community their home. She enjoys running, reading, travel, and spending time with loved ones, not the least of which is her spunky French Bulldog, Tony, who definitively rules the roost.
