December is here, and wow, the year has flown by! Reflecting on the past 12 months, it has been an incredible honor to serve as the President of our Iowa ICF Chapter. Working with our talented and committed Board and getting to know more of our chapter members at in-person events, chapter meetings, and the 2024 Flow Boldly Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, in September has been a highlight.

Coaches and Coffee - A Monthly Connect for Internal Coaches

Due to the holidays, the December Coaches & Coffee connection will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025.
The regular January meeting will also be held on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Coaches & Coffee was started as a group for coaches internal to organizations. This coffee connection is expanding to welcome internal coaches throughout Iowa. We will continue to meet monthly, alternating in-person and virtual meeting modes. We look forward to meeting more of you!

Introducing "Real Talk" Series

We are excited to announce our new monthly event, Real Talk! In this series we will discuss the real issues we all face as coaches, entrepreneurs, and humans striving to make a difference. We will share our experience and opinions, not answers. These sessions will not be recorded, as we want to encourage candid conversation and a safe space for all.

Important Update for Iowa Business Owners

IOWA BUSINESS OWNERS: Please be aware of federal reporting requirements that took effect on January 1, 2024 that may require you to report your business entity's beneficial ownership information to the federal government. Learn more about these requirements and review informational materials by visiting the dedicated webpage maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) at www.fincen.gov/boi.

FIND OUT IF YOUR BUSINESS IS IMPACTED: A Small Entity Compliance Guide has been issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to help small businesses understand the reporting requirements and determine if they are required to report their beneficial ownership information.

New ACC Exam

A new ACC Exam was released on November 18, 2024; 90-minute exam consisting of 60 multiple-choice knowledge items delivered in two sections with an optional 10-minute break midway through the exam.

ICF offers Communities of Practice groups in topics like Career Coaching, Health and Wellness Coaching, Internal Coaching, and many more! Check out the course catalog to see what’s offered.
