Taking Care of You

Having connected with many coaches in our community recently, I've noticed recurring theme. Life is moving incredibly fast. Amidst our busy work guiding and caring for clients, it's so easy to put ourselves on the backburner.

You are the cornerstone of growth and transformation for so many others. The weight of this responsibility, while rewarding, can overshadow your own needs. As you tirelessly empower those around you, I encourage you to pause, breathe, and ask yourself: "How am I really doing?"

Phishing Alert

Email scams are on the rise, with scammers using tactics like spoofing email addresses to make them appear as though they are from someone you know. These tactics are becoming increasingly sophisticated and harder to detect. Scammers often create a sense of urgency to prompt quick payments.

Please remember, your ICF Iowa chapter leaders WILL NOT ask you to make any purchases on behalf of the organization. If you receive such a request and are unsure of its legitimacy, contact the requestor through a different method to verify. DO NOT reply to suspicious emails.

ICF Iowa Ignite Project

The Ignite project is an initiative by the ICF Foundation aimed at sharing the power of coaching with the world by serving our local communities. For the 2025 Ignite project, ICF Iowa is partnering with Many Hands for Haiti and Goodwill of Central Iowa. Volunteer coaches will provide pro bono coaching to approximately ten individuals across these two organizations. Program coordination and approval processes will take place in April and May, with coaching sessions occurring between June 1 and October 31, 2025.

Interested in volunteering? Contact Dick Hannasch dhannasch@awareandwilling.com. Volunteer coaches must have an active ICF credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC) per the ICF Foundation.
