The Human Touch

I have never been more optimistic about the future of the coaching profession than I am right now.

I say this despite the never-ending barrage of change, disruption, technological advances, and fear-inducing headlines warning that artificial intelligence could wipe out entire industries.

Fortunately for us as coaches, millions of years of human evolution will not be so easily replaced. We are social creatures who crave belonging and connection. We seek to better understand ourselves and others. We long to create meaning in our lives.

State of the Chapter

As we look to 2026, the ICF Iowa Board would like to share an update on key 2025 accomplishments and our outlook for the year ahead. At the core of our ICF Iowa Chapter is our thriving membership base. We warmly welcome all new members who joined us in 2025, as well as those who renewed their membership. We also congratulate everyone who earned a professional credential this year. Our chapter remains committed to professional development, reflected in both the number of credentials earned and the quantity and quality of our educational program offerings.

"Real Talk" Series

Real_Talk_Email_Header.png
Join us for some Real Talk! In this series we will discuss the real issues we all face as coaches, entrepreneurs, and humans striving to make a difference. We will share our experience and opinions, not answers. These sessions will not be recorded, as we want to encourage candid conversation and a safe space for all.

Do you have suggestions for a Real Talk topic? Are you interested in facilitating a Real Talk conversation? Reach out to any member of the ICF Iowa board!

Coaches and Coffee - A Monthly Connect for Internal Coaches

Coaches and Coffee is going fully virtual! Our special interest group for internal organizational coaches will be held (via Zoom) on the fourth Thursday of each month, from 12-1:00 PM. Please join us to share, collaborate, and learn about all things internal coaching!

Coaches' Circle: Midday Edition

Join fellow coaches every Monday at 11:30-12:30 for a chance to connect!

Our calls are focused around accountability. You are invited to share your focus or intention for the upcoming week and your progress from the prior week. It is a place to celebrate your wins, AND to share areas where you are challenged. Conversations primarily revolve around our roles as coaches or business creating/building, yet life outside of coaching also comes into play.

To ensure we all have the opportunity to contribute, the first part of the call is roughly 3 minutes per person as indicated above.

Time remaining is used to network, expand on a topic, etc.

Meeting Recordings

Past meeting recordings are available on our website under Event > Meeting Recordings.  Please log in to view.
