Permission to Rest

As coaches, we often give so much of ourselves to others that it can be challenging to receive support in return. As I reflect on my fourth year of running my own business, I've realized that this work can be isolating. While I genuinely love pouring energy into my clients, I often find myself without opportunities to receive that same level of support.
Over the years, I've discovered a few strategies that help me maintain balance:
1. Attending in-person events with other coaches
Connecting with fellow coaches and sharing our experiences, challenges, and successes is invaluable. While it's easy to view these spaces as competitive, they can also be communities of support and encouragement. When we're open to connecting with other coaches as friends and allies, it can be truly transformative.
2. Taking time to develop relationships for myself
While it can be challenging to make time for personal relationships in the midst of all we juggle, it's essential for our well-being and growth as coaches.
3. Continuing to grow my coaching skills
Finding opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and expand my coaching toolbelt is crucial for continued development.
I'm curious what you have put into practice to receiving support as you navigate your space in the coaching world?
