Biography
Hello!
My background is in 39 years with the convenience store industry. I started out as a part-time worker while going to school and was eventually able to buy my own store in 2013.
Some very significant life altering events occurred for me and I sold my store in 2020. Coaching kept coming to my psyche as well as into the internet searches I was conducting on what I wanted to do for the remaining chapters of my life.
I realized the resilience I had getting through the last 5 years and did exploration into some deep emotions that brought me to where I was. As I looked back into my childhood I understood, more clearly, some really amazing things that happened. I also realized that "coaching" had played a part throughout my career. I feel I was destined to do the work I am now doing.
I’m now a transition and grief coach specializing in the constructive use of emotional energy. As a Master practitioner of an Attitudinal assessment that gauges how people use their emotional energy under stress, I’m able to use the results of the assessment to show clients how they will be more productive when choosing constructive emotional energy over destructive energies.
I hold the credentials of Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Core Transition Dynamics Specialist (CTDS), and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) all from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Currently working on fulfilling the work needed for my ACC through the ICF.
I currently serve on the board of the Iowa chapter of ICF as Education Director .
